Antennas

Magellan Technology provides a range of advanced antennas that are specifically designed to ensure optimal performance with PJM readers and tags.  Drawing on its wealth of experience in PJM RFID, advanced designed antennas are optimised for end-user applications and use with Magellan’s PJM tags and readers ensuring that the highest communication speeds between tags and readers are achieved.

The “off the shelf” range includes single and dual axis antennas, 3D antennas, panel, desktop and tunnel formats.  These are available in a bare, shielded or encapsulated format.    

Magellan works closely with its customers and partners to design bespoke antennas, including ultra low emission antennas for use in the medical environment. Our experienced design engineers take into account the proposed use, objectives and environmental conditions in which the antenna and reader will be used, thus ensuring that the completed product is fit for purpose.    

Single Axis Antennas

Single axis antennas are PCB based single coil antennas which can be connected to one antenna port of a MARS reader.

Dual Axis Antennas

Dual axis antennas are designed to read tags which are presented in vertical orientation to the antenna. They are available in dual or single port format.

3D Antennas

Mux Antennas

Magellan has developed a range of antennas where 6 ports used to be necessary, now only one is required. This enables users to attach more antennas to a MARS reader and utilise ports more efficiently.
