Magellan’s PJM Implant Management System (PIMS) enables independent suppliers of orthopaedic and other implant loan kits to implement PJM RFID tracking.
PIMS enables loan kit implants to be accurately picked, packed and dispatched, and most importantly, to quickly and easily reconcile returned implant loan kits.
The automated reconciliation of returned loan kits can save many hours of labour each day, improve loan kit turnaround time, and reduce inventory levels and customer disputes.

Application Maker
Application Maker is an easy to use, all purpose application for operation with all PJM RFID readers. It enables the user to create a customised ‘skin’ to suitably adapt the software for their application requirements. It can read and write user-designed content to RFID tags and is displayed clearly and simply as a tally with user-defined graphics.
A skin is a set of data fields with descriptions and associated graphics, configured by the user. The use of skins allows many different applications to be easily set up and switched between.

ReaderServer
All current readers have the Magellan ReaderServer application running on-board. This controls the reader hardware, processes tag commands and replies, and provides the interface to end user applications.
The ReaderServer accepts multiple simultaneous connections from client applications, much like any other network server such as an e-mail or Web server.
Client applications can connect via Ethernet, USB or Bluetooth interfaces.
